Second only to making art, is my love of teaching art. Join me for four consecutive Saturdays September 10, 17, 24, and Oct 1 at the Naperville Art League where I will guide students toward success in traditional oil portrait painting. The objective of this course is to introduce observational strategies that help achieve likeness and realistic accuracy. Students will learn proportion basics, value, color mixing, color temperature and oil technique. All levels are welcome. Last Call for Holiday Commissions
Portraits of loved ones, pets, even special objects, such as lace or jewelry, not only make heartfelt gifts, they become treasured heirlooms in your family for generations to come. Commissioned artwork can be made in graphite (pencil), charcoal, pastel, or oil. A variety of sizes and other criteria are available to fit your budget. Patrons are provided with a written project proposal and guaranteed cost estimate. I involve the patron in every step of the process right through the final work of art. Commissions for delivery by December 23, 2022 must be made by September 15. For more information, or to start your project, please contact me at: denise@deniselaurinvisualart.com
